We had this 2024 Chevy 3500 back in, and we got it set up to handle all the work the customer throws at it with the help of @air_lift_company We have previously helped with all the work from maintenance, lift kit and some detailing work. The customer really uses this truck, and pulls some pretty heavy loads with it. Mounting low-profile tires on large-diameter wheels aren't easy. With stiff sidewalls and little flexibility, getting the bead to seat properly can be a serious challenge. In some cases, a small amount of brake cleaner is used as a flammable agent to help. When ignited in a controlled setting, it creates a quick burst of pressure that can force the bead into place. It’s not a method found in manuals, but in tough situations, experienced techs sometimes turn to it as a last resort. After removing the shifter boot, we got the car up on the lift to take a look underneath. Got Traction? We recently had this wicked cool Road Atlanta Edition CT4-V Blackwing for a selection of upgrades and topped it off with a badass wheel setup! This Blackwing received an upgraded High Pressure Fuel Pump, Fuel cam, and Downpipes! We worked with Schmidty Tuning to dial in the tune and it felt absolutely incredible with the new parts! After a couple weeks, he added in some E85 and realized the factory tires weren’t quite able to handle the power anymore. He messaged us and we put together this awesome Forgestar wheel package! The infamous Jeep tick! We have recently been working on more Jeeps here at Zeal and one common problem that these have is failed rockers/lifters! They start to make a ticking noise that just gets louder and louder and can eventually lead to larger engine issues. This Jeep was one of the more severe we have seen/heard so we replaced all the rockers, lifters, and cams on both banks to help future proof it. It runs a 1000x better now! This is BY FAR the worst condition that we have ever seen a Corvette Torque Tube in. It’s a miracle that this car was still able to move under its own power… For those that don’t know, since Corvettes are Transaxle vehicles, the main driveshaft is housed in a casing called a torque tube. It’s common for the bushings and bearings inside the torque tube to wear out over time, so we very often rebuild them with a kit from RPM Transmissions. Every now and then, a torque tube will be beyond saving and have to be replaced. Hence is the case with this one, but this one was soooo far gone, that the bushing literally came out in powder form… If you start to hear some unusual noise coming from under the seats in your corvette, please bring it to a shop that specializes in Corvettes to have your Torque Tube checked! #torquetube #torquetuberebuild #c7corvette #corvette #zealautomotive

First Lamborghini in the shop! We recently had a client stop in who noticed we do a lot of work on Corvettes and other performance vehicles. After talking for a bit, he informed us that he had quite a few sports cars and was looking for a great shop to help maintain them and to do upgrades in the future. One thing led to another and he asked us to schedule him in for an oil change, only to find out that we would be changing the oil on a Lamborghini Huracan… We tackled it like we would with any other project and dove into research. We found the correct oil filter and all 8 drain plug washers to complete this service, along with some of the best Liqui Moly oil to keep this engine in great shape! We completed the oil change exactly as expected, got his oil life reset on the computer, and he is off to enjoy that V10 in all its glory! C8 Z06 in for some Scrape Armor! We all know the C8 Z06 is an absolute monster of a car, and the sound of that flat plane crank V8 is to die for! Unfortunately, there is one small design flaw in the C8 and the C8 Z06 front bumper. The openings in the vents in front of the radiators are simply far too big! 04 Chevy 2500 in for some major upgrades! One of our clients brought us his near mint condition 2004 2500 and said he was ready to transform his truck! We did a thorough inspection on the truck and found the steering gear box was leaking, along with a few worn out suspension components and minor leaks. We built a game plan for all of the maintenance items, and then began on the fun stuff! We got a steel cowl hood painted and installed by our good friends over @acworthcollisioncenter . 2006 Pontiac GTO in for some repairs! The original 2 piece driveshaft on this GTO had handled all that it could and decided to retire. Upon retirement, he took his friends, the parking brake cables, with him. Well luckily, we found a stronger 1 piece driveshaft rated for up to 800 horsepower from Hinson Motorsports and some parking brake cables direct from Australia to get this GTO back on the road! What’s better than a ZR1? That’s right, 2 ZR1s… This week, we have the pleasure of working on not only one of our clients ultra-rare ZR1s, but two of them at the same time. The Jet Stream Blue C6 ZR1 is a 2010 3ZR with only 7500 miles on the dash! It was recently acquired from out of state and shipped down to GA. Our client immediately brought it to us for a full refresh. It didn’t need much, but we decided to do a full gloss enhancement polish to bring back the original shine for years to come. We also decided to do a full Ceramic Coating to protect the polish, and we even ceramic coated the fender liners and the undercarriage of the vehicle! The Ceramic Matrix Gray C7 ZR1 is a 2019 3ZR with only 5000 miles on the dash! Our client has owned this one for a few months, and while we originally refreshed some PPF for him, he decided to bring it back for a gloss enhancement polish as well after seeing how incredible his C6 turned out. How an improper install can cost you! Our client brought us his Civic for an alignment a couple weeks ago, and while working on his car, we found the rear camber arm bushings were completely shot. We showed him what we found and advised him on what to do. Today, he is back with new camber arms! We began disassembly and found that the previous shop who installed the camber arms had not installed the washers correctly, which lead to premature failure of the control arm bushings. Not only did our client have to purchase the part again, but found themselves paying for the same install twice. However, he can have peace of mind that everything is now installed correctly and we can get his alignment dialed in perfectly! We had this awesome Admiral Blue C7 Grandsport in today and can’t get over the color and spec! Sometimes pictures don’t do cars or colors justice and this is one of those times. The carbon brakes, roof and other accessories paired along with the color and some of the customers added trim pieces really set this car off! It came in for some normal maintenance as well as diagnosing some tire vibration. We were able to perform a Road Force Balance on all the wheels/tires and found that the inner barrels of the wheels had some minor bends which was causing excessive road force. We were still able to completely rebalance them to help reduce some of the vibrations.
